State of Alabama, Mobile County
Revenue Court 

The following is a true and correct abstract taken from the minutes of a special meeting, held by said court in Friday the twenty seventh day of September A.D. 1867, to wit:

"The President stated to the Court that the meeting had been called at his insistance for the purpose of submitting a proposition on the part of the military authorities, to transfer to the county authorities of this county, the persons now cared for by the Freedman's Bureau at Dog River Factory. And the communication of James Gillette, Captain of the fifteenth Infy. U.S.A. and Sub asst Comr etc. under date of the 21st inst. proposing to transfer to the charge of this court on or before the first proximo the Dog River Colony and Hospital of the Freedman's Bureau; and representing to the Court the probability that the day of the compulsory closing of said institution is not distant, and that the inmates thereof will not be permitted to remain uncared for; and also proposing to deliver to the County,
