To illustrate: A col'd [colored] man came the other day and desired to know what he should do to secure the crop he had raised. He was advised, of course, to take out an attachment under G.O. No. 13. His employer anticipated him, took out an attachment on the entire crop for advances in provisions, and therefore, precluded the possibility of the Colored man obtaining possession of any of the crop to subsist upon awaiting the trial under the attachment. He may have raised a good crop, so as to have plenty to live upon next year, but he cannot give bond to replevy the property, and consequently must suffer until the trial, or until he can make a contract for next year's labor.
In order that you may better understand me the purport of the addition or change I suggest may be stated as follows:
