Sir
Last May I was elected Superintendent of Education, for Barbour County, for the term of two years, and have endeavored to discharge the duties of the office faithfully. By our State laws a general election for Trustees for the different Townships should be held on the 2d Monday in May next. Please advise me what course to pursue. Will the General commanding the District appoint, or order an election. The law requires three Trustees for each Township, and as the Office of Trustee is a very important one, good and competent men should be selected for the position.
Any information on the subject at your earliest convenience will be thankfully received.
I have the honor to be very respectfully your obt servant
Jno. C McNab
Supt Ed. Barbour County
