Maj. Gen. R.K. Scott
Assist Commissioner. S.C.

General.
I have the honor to state, that the bearer Mrs. Jane Weston of this city, has an aged mother who was sold from here thirty one (31) years since, and is now living in Gainestown Ala, not far from Mobile. The mother desires to get to her daughter before she dies, and the daughter, Mrs. Weston is also anxious to have her under her care through her declining years. She therefore humbly prays that you request the Bureau Com'r at Mobile to furnish transportation for her mother, Maria Robinson, from Mobile Ala, to this city.
