Office Asst. Supt. B. of R.F. and A.L.
Tuscaloosa Ala Febry 6th 1867.

O.D. Kinsman
Superintendant
Montgomery Ala.

Sir,
I have the honor to refer the case of William J. McCray for information as to whether he is entitled to traveling allowances and bounty.

He states that he was a Rebel prisoner confined at Chicago Ill, and was released on taking the oath: that he then enlisted in Co. "C" 6th Regt. U.S. Vols, and served in the territories of the U.S. until Oct. 15th 1866. When he was discharged.

McCray has a Discharge (which is enclosed) only, in support of his statement.

He further states that he never has received any bounty.

I have no blanks which can be used in this case and would like such blanks furnished, provided McCray is entitled to any thing from the U.S.
I am, Sir.
