I have the honor to report the following: Last night at about 11 o'clock I received a letter form MR J. R.F. Hill, teacher of Freedmen's school at Eutaw, Green County, stating that on Saturday last, in the evening, the members of the Union League had a meeting, on private property, belonging to a freedman, and the Marshal of Eutaw with some company, entered the yard, where the meeting was being held, and ordered the members of the League to disperse. The Marshal was then informed by Mr. McCutchin, that they were not holding a public meeting, but that it was of a purely private nature; That the Marshal and his company retired, talking against the colored people, Mr Hill, and Mr. McCutchin, and also made heavy threats
