of a freedwoman by the name of "Ellen" who also lived with Dr. Foster as a house servant from early in 1858, and stayed with him till July 1865.  The said child Jno Bell was born on the premises of Dr. Foster, and the said Ellen had no husband at that time nor had one at any time previous known to these officiants, but afterward intermarried with one "Willis Sheffield" who also lived with Dr. F. The said Ellen left Dr. Fosters premises in July 1865, and abandoned her said husband and her infant child, Jno Bell, took up with one "George Thompson" whom she subsequently abandoned, and has left the state, and is now reported to be dead.  
"Moses Davis" was about 12 years old when Dr. Foster bought him in Oct 1857, as they learned at that time from Dr. Foster.
