Sir:
Yours of the 14th instant in relation to the apprenticing of Sophrania, the child of Phebe has been received and contents noted and in reply have to state that she said Sophrania has not been apprenticed to the said John Mulican; and have advised the Probate Judge of Macon County of the fact and am inclined to think as the said Mulican and the child Sophrania both reside in this County the Probate Judge of Macon will have no jurisdiction of the mother but the Circuit Judge or Chancellor has
