General: 
I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your endorsement of July 15th in the case of Isham Garrott vs. Mrs. Mary A Poole. 
The case has caused me twice more trouble than any other that I have had and I made my first recommendation after as I thought all the evidence had been obtained. From that evidence it appeared that Mrs. Poole was having a secret understanding with Tom Pitts. I afterwards from the other evidence made up my mind that this was not the case, although it had been previously sworn to. 
In regard to the now reporting of the carrying out of the endorsement, I would state that I was in daily expectation of hearing from the re-examination which was un account ably delayed by the Agent in
