I have the honor to report that, in pursuance of endorsement orders of date Apr. 10" 1868., from Hd. Qrs. Sub. Dist. of Ala., and Office Asst. Commissioner State of Ala., I collected on the 15th inst from R.Z. Barlow, Sheriff of Baldwin County, the sum of six hundred & two and 12/100 (602.12/100) dollars, the proceeds of sales in the matter of attachment of Freedmen Vs Colgin and Saunders.

On the 14th inst the U.S. Marshall served on me the enclosed papers garnishing said proceeds. Upon appearing in court, I was informed that the case was too late to go upon the Docket until Dec. term.

Unless otherwise instructed I propose to distribute the funds among the freedmen and
