States that he was removed as Chief Clerk of Bureau R.F. and A.L. at Huntsville a day or two after the removal of Genl Callis as Sub. Asst Com'r - The reason for which, as he is informed, was because he was a relative & intimate friend of Genl Callis & that he belonged to the Union League.
Requests to be restored to his position.
