Major General O.O. Howard
Comm'r. B.R.F. & A.L.
Washington D.C.

General:
Allow me to respectfully request that aid be granted by the Freedmen's Bureau to the Freedmen of Eufaula, Ala. for the erection of a comfortable School Building, of sufficient capacity to accommodate 200 pupils.-

Our school now numbers 150 pupils, which would be increased to 200, if there was sufficient accommodation.

But the two buildings now rented by the Bureau for the school, the only ones obtainable here, are very poor, & small (the principal one measuring only 20 ft. x 40.) and entirely unprovided with suitable school furniture.
