Asks that she be made to go back to his employ. | Wrote to S J McLoud that there was no objections to his taking her back provided he could keep her. Shows his contract with F S Cole which is dated July 19, 1867 Jas Thomas was to work the balance of the year for $70 and board. Also to have 1/4 acre of ground and 4 days time. | Wrote to Frank S. Sal Lindsey claim that Geo Cole owes him for one day work for wife and asks for an offset. | Case decided by Geo Cole and Solomon Lindsey calling their a/cs square | Danl Brower col vs Ed Stewart w 27 | Rockingham NC Sept 2nd 1867 Danl Brower complains that Ed Stewart after agreeing to abide by the decision of Watkins (white) (and before the officer of the Bureau at Rockingham) that in regard to a settlement of their difficulty in the way of dividing their crop and after Watkins had decided that Danl Brower was to pay $10.60 to E Stewart (time not named for payment) and to have his corn patch abot 2 acres and his potatoe patch 1/2 acre, also his garden. While Stewart was to have the cotton and now Stewart claims the whole.
