See M Wall account in Port Munic. load of fodder |  Rockingham Dec 2 1867 Wrote to Chas Smith that he and Issac will report to this office on Saturday 7th 1867.  Perry Elleby states that he heard Chas Smith say he would not honor claimed of this land for $10.00 for a cn. 11 pres. wrote to Chas Smith deliver to Isaac 1 load of corn. |

Neil Nicholdson W | Bu RF&AL Office Agt at Rockingham Dec 4th 1867 Complains that on the night of the 2nd inst Neil Nicholdson took her son Cap aged 9 yrs to the woods and threatened him with death if he did not confess to the stealing of about $70 from his Grand Mother Mrs. Isabella Nicholdson and that Neil Nicholdson did strike Cap with his fist and threw him over the fence. And that Neil Nicholdson & Benj Bolton did whip him with whip broken from the trees. |   |

Nicholson Benj Bolton & Morris Chapel came to his home & took him by force to the woods and then & there accused him of stealing money from Wm Nicholas about $70.00.  To this Cap said he was not guilty when B Bolton struck him with his fist & when he still denied this charge Bolton and Chapel & Nicholson got whips commenced whipping him & threatened to kill him if he did not own that he stole the money. which he finally did own to, to save his life.
