Milton Mary claims told her he had hired Bob to Mr E for [[?]] Mr E says he will prove by Milton that Bob was to stay with him for his food & clothes. Bob at this time was 12 yr old |

| Bristol Knotts col vs Joel Horn wht | Wadesboro April 4th 68 Complains that he entered into a contract 4th Jany to work for Joel Horn for this year at $50.00 & Board 4.16 2/e pr mo and on last Saturday Bristol attended a political meeting at Wadesboro for the purpose of making up a ticket for the coming election and on his return was order to leave the plantation by Joel Horn stating that Bristol should go to no political meetings nor to the election if he remained with him. | Wadesboro April 14 68 Wrote to Joel Horn to report to this office on Friday 17th  JH repd and denies telling B to leave if he was gong to election. 14.58 den 1458  Polly Bd wife says she heard JH tell B to leave if he attemted to go to the elections. |
