yours of 17th received.
I went to town this morning to see how mary was geting [getting] along. Mary was up and said she was felling [feeling] fine the nurse said the Eye was geting [getting] on fine. I did not see the Doctor. he was away Mary said. the Doctor said he was going to write you and tell you about Marys Eye. she said the Doctor told her the stiches [stitches] might be taken out saturday. Perhaps Il [I'll] bring her home sunday or monday.

I am glad that you got the basket from jack I wreten [written] to jack about the basket. I was afraid that that man from Los Angeles buying baskets. he tramps In this place and bought a basket I spoke for. it was unfinished shuset. I dint [didn't] blame him as much as I did the maker.    perhaps you know Mrs. R.C. Dyer of Schurz Neo. I got a letter from her the other day saying [strikethrough] she wanted six tiney [tiny] baskets. she knew my name som [some] way. I told her I would. later on
