at Christmas. Speaking of Christmas, I have thought up things we need. Jack needs socks and underwear, waist is 30, as always. Also, we might appreciate a Pogo book. I could use some knee socks - of any shade almost. Also, I have heard that the type of Waterman pen you once got me (which I finally lost, recently) is again in the market - not the one you got Jack, which he lost. For him we get ball point pens, since he loses them in masses, but I lose pens much less often.

I have a good deal of time-consuming homework but also have oceans of time to do it in, so am not worried. So far there have been too many household tasks that won't be repeated [[strikethrough]] so [[/strikethrough]] either. In the new apartment dust seems to hardly collect at all -- less than in one week at the other place in a month here. The [[strikethrough]] road [[/strikethrough]] drive outside is all gravelled and no cars pass by - that's probably the reason. Jack still has a stuffy nose, probably the ragweed, which is just coming into flower here (if that's any comfort!).

Love, Doris
