Dear folks,

Well, my second exam will be tomorrow (Russian was Monday night) and the third next Wednesday; Jack has his next Monday and Tuesday.

We have a new addition to the family: a young bird which fell out on the roof. We suspect it is a starling, but haven't seen the parents. It has just a little down on its ugly fat body. I have been feeding it about every hour with chopped egg & so far it is doing well, altho' last night's chill seems to have weakened it a little. Yesterday too a friend (office) of Jack's, Renato, was informed by his wife that she took a young starling from the next-door, fierce Siamese cat. She couldn't get it to eat, so we went over yesterday night and I force-fed it. It is [[strikethrough]] quite [[//strikethrough]] almost grown and wary.
