Dear folks,

The weather here was very good when Marguerite came down to visit us last Sunday + we were able to take a couple of short drives.  We went out to the University farms, where you can "visit" the cows and a yard of pretty young (non-smelling) goats among other things.  Sunday night after she had left we were phoned by our old friends the Finks (musicians), who were in town for the night.  We went over to visit them where they were staying + had a fine time.  They have a young baby, which was trying to sleep in the next room, and did except when we were too loud, or when the cat bothered her; they had brought one of Penelope's kittens to give to the other couple, and, altho' scarcely weaned, that kitten had a marked personality.  It had been the runt of the family and had been spoiled.  As a consequence, it didn't let us alone for a minute.  If someone was not holding
