I am not at all competent to judge what it would cost to move the Winder Building; but if it can be moved for $500 [and I will add. if it can be moved and fitted up with desks, seats, be ready for occupation for $1000] on to a lot that shall not cost more than $200 a year it is the best thing you can do. As the case now stands you have nowhere to place your school in Richmond. The 2d Bap Ch. is burned and will not soon be rebuilt. They may put up a shanty there, but they cannot build a church. Chimborazo is being evacuated and half of it is to be sold at auction tomorrow. I have learned that the three buildings we now occupy with schools should be reserved.
