My Dear Sir: Gen B. has just shown me your personal letter to him of yesterday.
1 You speak of the disapproval of an application for aid in building a school-house to take the place of the one destroyed by fire. I have never seen any such communication, and have wondered that none was made.
2 Your application for repairs at City Point was referred to me on the 28th during my absence from the city under orders. The day of my return - the 25th I approved the 
application.  
3 You think I am not friendly to the schools of the P.E. Freedmens Commission, because they are sectarian. It is an utter mistake and not derived from any thing that I have ever
