Colonel:
Your communication of the 1st inst relative to the schools at Danville and Pittsylvania letter is this morning rec'd- It appears to be too late to do anything for the school at Danville, as the ladies passed through this city last night on their way to Philad

I would suggest that application be made for rent, (say $10 per month) for the house in which Mr. Nickes has his school, provided he can receive the money for his own benefit. This seems to be the only way in which the Bureau can aid him.
