Miss Collins:
Years of The 17th at hand, and The change will be made in Miss Lynch school room.
Bureau Head Quarters at Washington contemplate help to school on some new and more liberal scale. The plans have not been matured an account of Genl Howard's absence. He will reach Washington Today. A preliminary letter from Mr. Alvord says "Aid will be extended to all freedmens schools in the several states to the extent of means in possession of the Bureau. I would suggest that arrangements be made and the northern associations and local patronage appealed to for a large work during the coming year."
I feel warranted in saying that if there are still deficiencies in the support of any of your teachers for Richmond, and there deficiencies are not large, you do not need to hesitate to send them on promptly.
As soon as plans alluded to above are matured you will be put in possession of them.
