Mrs. Cheney

Your teachers here thank, and I thank with them, that in one respect Mr. Wolfold is not doing his duty. He gives but very little personal attention to the night school, sending in his little daughter as his substitute most of the time. He is in perfect health and not overworked, and if the delicate ladies can do that night work, he certainly ought to. He has house rent without charge, and ought, I think, to give his attention not only to night schools, but the marketing &c for the ladies - a service which I am not above doing without compensation. A letter to him from your head quarters would be of service.

Very Respy,
R.M. Manly
Supt Education
