Wm M. Smith

In reply to yours of this 7th. The Philadelphia society which has charge of schools in Lynchburg and vicinity, will soon have an agent there to superintend its affairs. I shall depend on his information and advice before making any arrangements with reference to aiding in the support of schools, and probably what aid the Bureau gives schools will be given through that society, and not directly to the teacher.
