Your sympathy, your prayers, your pecuniary help is solicited, in the name of Him who said--"Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." The work of this Society [strikethrough] to which your help is solicited, [/strikethrough] is to establish an enlightened ministry among the colored people of this land and also among them in their father-land, we labor & hope with these divine and precious promises: "I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possessions."--Psalms ii. 8. "Princes shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall soon stretch out her hands unto God."--Psalms lxviii. 31.

Donations in Money, Theological Books, &c., for the Society, may be sent to the following addresses:

Your favor of the 24 inst. is before me.
The building at Crooked Run was near its completion when heard from last- we anticipate its use about the last of next month Should we realize the appropriation $160. This sum will with the funds we have on hand complete the building. A Teacher will be Sent & Supported at Crooked Run by the above named members of the above named Society. The number of children from the names of applicants will make the average daily attendance between 70 & 80 - & if an evening School Should be opened as was the contemplation Sometime past the number probably will exceed those mentioned.
Respectfully yours
 C. Robinson
