that we should have a house for this purpose from the fact that there is a very great number here who are unable at present to pay a tuition fee and Whereas if we had a house for a free shool [[school]] many who are now denied the privilige of attending School would have the Chance of obtaining that very desirable boon, Education. Therefore be it Resolved That we petion [[petition]] Genl O Brown Assistant Commissioner through our delegate to the Annual State Council to meet in Richmond Va March 8th 1869 Mr S. F.
