R.M. Manly Esqr.

Dear Sir
I am very sorry to state, that at present, The number of scholars are small, and they will remain so, until after "Harvest." I am now staying for a mere nothing, on account of getting a large winter school; and not having any help from any society, whatever. I cannot make "Ends" meet, hoping you can assist me in some way.

I remain
Yours Most. Obed. Ser't.
