Sir:
On the 3rd of August 1869 a communication from K John Stewart, Esq. Gordonsville. Va concerning an appropriation requested by him for a school on his place was referred to you for recommendation and report; The Bureau is in receipt of another letter from Mr. Stewart of date Aug 11th 1869. Stating that he had met and had a consultation with you upon the subject.
