Dear Sir
Yours of 9th at hand. I have sent blank reports to teachers named & requested them to fill same & forward to you.

I understood from you & from Washington that we were to receive "$10 pr month for every 30 pupils avg. attds" — On this understanding I asked our Board to take many of the schools we now have in Virginia, and if we are to be cut off with only "$10 pr month for each school" I am sure we will have to give up some of our good schools.
