mule dies or is killed during the year and another has to be bought they are to pay for one fourth of him but they are to have no interest in the horse or mule so purchased at the end of the year or when crop is over. I also agree to furnish enough tools at first of the year to carry on this farm. If any are carelessly destroyed the are to pay for them. And if any horse to be purchase to replace others that have not been to destroyed they are to pay for one fourth of them. I agree to to furnish the said laborers good rations and comfortable quarters for one year untill the first (1st) day of January 1867 and no longer. The said laborers agree to pay one fourth for hire of the farmer that attend to stock
