Please see Secy of War about conversation with Gen Parsons and myself touching the proposed enlargement of your Circular of November 8th--I also saw the Commissary General. Would be glad to have such Extension as you see fit as to increase of supply posts and transfers to Volunteer Agents.

The schools in operation in the State at Mobile. Eleven teachers and four hundred and ninety-seven scholar (497). At Montgomery, four teachers and three hundred and twenty (320) scholars.
