Head Quarters Dist of Ala Bur. R.F. and A.L. Montgomery Ala Jan 20th 68 Circular } No 2 } The resignations of Doctor C.J. Kipp (late Brvt Lieut Col. U.S.V.) Surgeon in Chief, and of O.D. Kinsman (late Brvt Lieut Col. U.S.V.) Sub. Asst. Commissioner of the District having been accepted they are hereby believed from duty and will turn over to their successors the records of their respective officers. The Commanding General cannot part with Colonel Kipp and Kinsman without expressing his regrets at loosing the services of two such valuable officers, "who during the past two and a half years the period they have been on duty in this District have" performed the arduous duties assigned them 53 with a zeal and fidelity seldom equalled; which carried into private business relations must ensure that success they both so eminently merit. 2.
