Montgomery Ala April 23d 1866 Special Orders No. 69 I Bvt Lt Col E Beecher Chf Disbursing officer B.R.F. & AL for this State will proceed to Huntsville Ala on business connected with his Dept. He will return as soon as practicable. The QM Dept. will furnish the necessary transportation. II. Brt Col C Cadle Jr AAG B of RF & AL, will proceed to Selma, Talladega, Tuscaloosa, and Demopolis on business connected with this office. He will return as soon as practicable. III. Actg Asst Surg Geo E Williams U.S.A. will transfer to Geo A Harmont, Asst Supt B of RF & AL Montgomery Ala, all the captured Hospital Property transferred to him by Surg H Cooper 178 NY Vols except two office Desks & one table. April 24th 1866 Circular No 1 [[margin]] Fd [[/margin]] The following decision of the Treasury Dept. in regard to the number of Internal Revenue Stamps to be affixed to Contracts, is published for the information of all concerned. Where a certain proportion of the crop is the only commission paid for services rendered, thus making a community interest one five cent int. revenue stamp to sheet or piece of paper comprising the contract is sufficient, but where 97 the consideration to be paid consists either wholly or in part of a stated amount to each employee, the Contracts are several and a stamp must be affixed for each name. B.R.F. & A.L. at Selma Ala. He will turn over al Govt Property in his possession to Bvt Capt Joseph Graves 1st Lt VRC, who is hereby assigned to duty as A.A.Q.M. and ACS of the Bureau at Selma, and who will proceed to that place, receive from and receipt to Brt Maj Hoge
