I  Special Orders No 37 from Hd. Qr is hereby revoked.
II  A board of Survey is hereby appointed to convene at the Store House of the Freedmens Hospital at Montgomery Ala, on Sept. 14th 1866, at is 10 o'clock AM or as soon thereafter as practicable, to determine the amount and kind of damages and deficiency of a lot of Medical and Hospital property, (which was turned over for stage to 2d Lt Joseph Logan V.R.C. & AAQM at Mobile Ala, July 13th/66 by AA Surgeon HE Williams USA, and which was afterwards shipped by Captain J.C. Grierson USV, AQM, at Mobile, to AA Surgeon HE Williams at Montgomery Ala), sustained while in store at Mobile or in transit from Mobile to Montgomery, and to set forth the circumstances and fix the responsibility of such damage and loss.

I  A Board of Survey is hereby appointed to convene at the office of the Commissary of Subsistence at Montgomery Ala, at 11 o'clock AM, this day or as soon thereafter as practicable for the purpose of

examining into and reporting upon the responsibility of a deficiency said to exist in a certain lot of Subsistence Stores, received from Bvt. Maj. W.A. Elderkin, Depot Commissary, Mobile Ala, and for which Captain W.C. Arthur C.S. Vols. is responsible

III  Captain W.C. Arthur A.C.S. will proceed to and inspect the agencies of the Bureau of Refugees & Freedmen at Selma, Talladega, Tuscaloosa and Demopolis, with a view to the reduction of the Commissary Department at each of said Posts in proportion to the reduced issue of rations, and will give such direction as may be necessary to that end.  He will also make a general inspection, including Hospitals, and will submit his recommendations in writing on his return.
