On the recommendation of the Surgeon in Chief, it is ordered that the Freedmens Hosptl at Selma Ala, be at once put in repairs.  The Q.M. of the Bureau RF & AL at that point is charged with the execution of those repairs under the direction of the Surgeon in Charge of the Hosptl, and the necessary expenditure thereunder will be settled upon presentation of the proper vouchers to the Chief Disbursing Officer of the Bureau.

Bvt. Maj. W A Elderkin, Captain and C.S. USA. will proceed to New Orleans La, and thence to Mobile and Selma Ala, for the purpose of obtaining and shipping, without delay, to the Districts of Tuscaloosa and Talladega, Ala, certain quantities of pork and flour for the destitute of those Districts.  On the completion of this duty he will rejoin his proper station, reporting at these Hd. Qrs. enroute.
