I Mr P.R. Fomey, having reported at this office in accordance with S.O. No 60. War Dept Bureau RF&AL. current series, is assigned to duty in the office of the Sub" Asst. Comr at these Hd Qrs.
II The verbal instructions of the 5th inst to W.C. Arthur, Agent and A.C.S. Bureau R.F. and A.L. Alabama to purchase without delay ten thousand (10,000) bushels No 1 white shelled corn (in sacks) for issue to the destitute of North Alabama, in accordance with "Joint Resolution" of Congress. Approved, March 30th 1867.are hereby confirmed. Bvt Brig Genl J.B. Callis, Sub Asst Comr Dist of Huntsville, Ala, will receive the corn thus purchased, taking of and accounting for the same as prescribed in Circular No 11, War Dept. Bureau RF&AL. April 3rd 1867.

will proceed to Greenville Ala, and assume charge as Sub Asst Comr of the Sub Dist. of Greenville, relieving S S. Gardner from the duties of that position.
The Q M Dept will furnish the necessary transportation.
II Mr SS. Gardner Sub Asst Comr Bureau R.F. & A. L Ala, on having been relieved from charge of the Sub Dist of Greenville, will proceed on a tour of inspection through the Counties of Butler, Crenshaw, Coffee, Covington, and Conecuh, He will examine the committents to the several County Jails, inspect the detail of distribution of food to the destitute and investigate all cases of outrages which have been or may be brought to his notice, on the completion of this duty he will report at this office.
