Special Orders No 26}

I  The Sub Asst. Comr. Bureau RF & AL. at Talladega, will purchase six (6) barrels of lime for the use of the Hosptl. at that place.
The necessary expenditures under the order will be settled upon presentation of the proper vouchers to the Chief Disbursing Officer of this District.
II  Bvt Maj G F Browning Chief Q M Bureau R.F.& A.L. for this Dist. will purchase and transfer to the Surgeon in charge of the Freedmens Hospital at Garland, Ala. the following articles, viz:  
One (1) Iron Chaldron, capacity sixty (60) gallons, two (2) barrals of lime, two white wash brushes
The necessary expenditures under this order will be settled upon presentation of proper vouchers to the Chief Disbursing Officer of this District.

Special Orders No 27}

A Board of Survey is hereby appointed to convene at the Office of  the Sub. Asst. Comr. Bureau RF & A L, Mobile Ala, at 11 AM, on the 26th inst. or as soon thereafter as practicable for the purpose of ascertaining the cause and extent of damage to a lot of corn (Eighteen hundred and eighty two (1882) sacks.  Bureau stores) sunk on board the steamer Virginia No 2 on the 22nd inst.

Special Orders No 28}

I  Bvt. Captain Joseph Groves, 1st Lt. V.R.C. and A.A.C.S. Bureau RF & AL, at Selma Ala, is hereby placed in close arrest within the limits of his own quarters at Selma, Ala.
II  Statement having been made at this office that Mr Joseph White Sen. of Lowndes Co. has endeavored to prevent certain colored men from registering under the reconstruction law by threats of ejection and by depriving them of supplies agreed to be furnished them under a contract made between the parties.  Mr Andrew Geddes will proceed to Mr Whites plantation and make full investigation of the case, with the view, should the statement be found correct to the arrest and trial by military commission of Mr White and any other parties so offending.

I  A.A. Surgeon J.W. Burkholder U.S.A. is hereby relieved from duty in charge of Freedmens Hosptl Selma, Ala.  He will transfer all public property and Hospital Records to A A Surgeon W.E. Burleigh U.S.A.
II  AA Surgeon W. E. Burleigh USA is hereby assigned to duty in charge of Freedmens Hosptl.
