District of Opelika, Ala will purchase for use in his office one office desk at an expense not exceeding twenty dollars, taking up and accounting for the same upon his Return of Property pertaining to the Bureau Proper vouchers therefore will be paid upon presentation to Brvt Lieut Col. R.F. and A.L. State of Alabama will proceed to Tuscaloosa, Ala upon business pertaining to the Bureau. Upon the completion of this duty he will return to his proper station. Asst Commr. 235 State of Alabama Bureau R.F. and A.L. Montgomery Ala Mar. 23rd 68 Special Order No 29 Rev R.D. Harper, D.D. Superintendent of Education B.R.F. & A.L. State of Alabama, having reported in compliance with orders from the Commissioner, will at once relieve Mr. H.M. Bush Acting Superintendent of Education, who will turn over to him all government property in his possession together with the records of the office. Mr. Bush upon being relieved will report to the Assistant Commissioner for duty as Agent charged with the supervision of Buildings now in process of erection for school purposes in this State. 2. C.C. Bartlett, Sub. Asst. Commissioner at Selma, Ala, is hereby authorized and will contract for labor and material at a cost not exceeding four thousand dollars ($4000) to be expended in the erection of a school building at Selma, Ala. upon grounds of purchased for that purpose by the A.M. Association. Said contracts will not be entered into, until the title to the ground referred to has been perfected by deed, free from encumbrance, approved by Lieut Col Edwin Beecher Inspector and Disbursing Officer of the Bureau His property return will account for this expenditure, and the proper vouchers therefor will be paid upon presentation to the Chief Disbursing Officer Bu.
