Special Orders No 60}

W.C. Arthur Chief Quartermaster Bu R.F. and A.L. State of Alabama will purchase for use of the Assistant Corris- missioner the following Stores pertaining to the Bureau, viz: 
One (1) Chair, One (1) Kerosene lamp. 
2.  Jno C. Hendrix Sub Asst. Commissioner, Montgomery. Ala, will transfer to S.S. Gardener, Sub. Asst. Comr at Greenville Ala. and to R.T. Smith Sub. Asst. Comr at Opelika Ala. and each, seventy five sacks of corn, Relief Supplies to issue to destitutes.
The Quartermasters Department will furnish the necessary transportation.
3.  Brvt Maj James Curtis Captain 15" U.S. Infantry, having been assigned as Sub Assistant Commissioner, Sub District of Selma, Ala, will relieve Mr. C.C. Bartlett Sub Asst. Commissioner at Selma, Ala., who will turn over to him all Bureau Stores and the records of his office.
4.  Mr. C.C. Bartlett having been assigned to duty as Sub. Asst. Comr. Sub-Dist of Elyton upon being relieved by Maj Curtis, will proceed to Elyton Ala and assume charge of his Sub District opening an office at that place.  The necessary expenditures are hereby authorized.

W.C. Arthur Chief Quartermaster Bur. R.F. and A.L. State of Alabama, will in compliance with instructions from the Commissioner of the Bureau dated Feb 19th 1868 expend on the repairs of the Alabama State Lunatic Asylum at Tuscaloosa, Ala the sum of nineteen hundred dollars ($1900)
The proper vouchers for the expenditure will be paid upon presentation to the Disbursing Officer
