The following additional emendations to the Manual have been made, and are published for the information of the officers of this Bureau:-

ARTICLE II.

In paragraph 1, after the word Departments, insert- Civilians, when properly assigned to duty in this Bureau, the performance of which necessarily involes the custody of and responsibility for public property, will be regarded as Acting Assistant Quartermasters, but transfers to such officers, either of property pertaining to this Bureau, or to other Departments when held for the use of this Bureau, shall only be made upon the orders of Assistant Commissioners or higher authority.

Paragraph 4. The word "received," which is to be striken out, and for which the word "purchased" is to be substituted (see fourth line, page 115), is the one occuring after the word "property," in the fifth line of said paragraph 4.

Paragraph 14, as amended (see Errata, page 115), is further amended by striking out all after the word "Bureau," and inserting in lieu thereof:
