Branding of Bureau property.

Attention of Officers of this Bureau is called to the provisions of Paragraph 1016, of Revised Army Regulations, Ed. 1863, requiring public property to be branded "U.S."
All animals now belong to, or that hereafter may become, the property of this Bureau by purchase or otherwise, will, under the direction of the several Disbursing Officers, after being branded as required by regulations, be branded on the left shoulder "F.B." above the letters "U.S." with well-shaped and clear capital letters of uniform size, two (2) inches in height and occupying a space of two by four (2x4) inches. 
For the purpose above indicated, branding irons will be furnished by the Disbursing Officers, for the proper use of which they will be held accountable.
