16. The following named officers will report in person, without delay, to the Assistant Commissioner of the Freedmen's Bureau for the State of Virginia, at Richmond, and by letter to 
Major-General Howard, Commissioner of the Freedmen's Bureau, Washington, D.C., for assignment to duty therein, to replace officers therein serving whose commands have been mustered out of service:—

1st Lieutenant C. W. Pierce, 7th Regiment Veteran Reserve Corps.
