Properly approved Requisitions having been forwarded to these Head Quarters for the following described Means of Transportation required for the use of this Bureau at the Freedmen's Hospital, Garland, Ala., viz: one (1) ambulance, two (2) mules, two (2) single sets ambulance harness, two (2) head halters, two (2) horse breeches and two (2) curry combs; and it being impracticable to procure the same of the Quartermaster's Department, Bvt. Maj: George F. Browning, A.A.Q.M. on duty in this Bureau at Montgomery, Ala., will, under the direction of: Bt Lieutenant Colonel Edwin Beecher, Disbursing Officer for said State, purchase in open market, upon the most advantageous terms possible, the Means of Transportation above specified; and at a cost not exceeding two hundred and
