been fortunate, to prevent any injustice to be done. But should the employer refuse to act according to any
suggestions, the employee has no other way, except to go to the civil law for justice, and as the course of that is very slow, the poor man is always the looser and the rich man the gainier. There are still a good many settlements to be made from last year's accounts, but a most of the Warranters plead insolvent at the present time, I deem it best to wait until they are able to sell their crop, and if they then proceed in refusing to settle, I will cause them to be sued.

All schools, except the one at Gainesville have been closed until the first of October, agreeable to instructions from the Supt. of Education, the Registration in this Sub. District was closed on the 21st of August and the different Boards are vigorously at work completing the Registration books, which will be forwarded to Hd. Qrs, between the 1st and 5th of this month.
