At Eutaw there to await their trial by the proper civil authority.
The feelings between the whites and Freedmen are about the same as prevously reported, they have not improved much. The Freedmen are greatly interested in the comencing election, and without exception, so far as I can learn, all will vote the Republican Ticket, they are very desirous of showing to the country that they fully appreciate their freedom, and they many kind offices done for them, by their Northern friends of the Republican Party, whose Platform and principles they fully endorse.
