July 2nd  Note placed in hands of J. A. Clendenen, Atty., Abbeville, Henry County, for collection, Ouzts being in that county. Clendenen not heard from yet.

No 9-  Letter from Lieut. F. A. H. Gaebel, Sub. Asst. Comr., Cuthbert, Ga., July 2nd '67, forwarding to Hd. Qrs, Montg'y., particulars of the murder of Gill Curry, by son, Isaac Curry, who is supposed to be in Henry, or Dale county, Ala. Referred to this Office for investigation and report.

July 18  Notices sent Probate Judges of Henry and Dale counties, with directions to have search made for Isaac Curry.

July 26  Report received from Probate Judge of Henry County, "that diligent search has been made for Isaac Curry, and he cannot be found in the County."- No report from Probate Judge of Dale County.

No 10-  Letter from A. R. Brashear, Eufaula, Ala. July 8th '67, giving statement to Hd. qrs. Montg'y., of number of freedmen in City of Eufaula unable to procure medical attention, &c, and asking appointment of Bureau physician for col'd people of the City. Referred to this Office July 20th '67.

July 29-  Statement investigated, and report made to Col. C. J. Kipp, Chief Surgeon, Dist. of Ala.
