To-day, I received from Mr.J.H.W. Mills, Ag't Bu. &c., at Athens, his application to be relieved from duty as such Agent. It is forwarded to you, with recommendation that his request be granted. It is believed that Colored Claimants are now so familiar with the mode of disbursing payments of money on account of Bounties &c that fewer agents my abe kept in the service of the Bureau for that purpose than formerly.
