The Government provides Boilers, Subsistence and fuel. There are three Kettles in use having a capacity of 520 qts. The following table will show the issue from Feb. 26th to Apr. 30th. For the month of April the issue cost the Government $1066.77/100. 8954 adults and 21965 issues were made to a daily average of 1190 persons.

The most satisfactory issue has been found to be ½ pound of Bread and 1 pint of Soup to each adult per day — ½ allowance to children. In the method of distribution it was found impracticable to adhere strictly to the provisions of the Circular of the Asst Commissioner.
