and Employers has been made at this Office during the month. All of which gave entire satisfaction to both parties.

4th  Contracts

Fifty (50) Contracts have been presented at this office for examination. Careful attention has been given to the same in making and explaining to the Laborers the obligations contained therein. Most of these contracts were made on the "Blank Contract" furnished by this Bureau and have met the approval of both Employer and Freedmen.

5th  Assault and battery of Freedmen (by White Persons)

Six (6) complaints of this nature have been made at this office by Freedmen. All of which have been referred to the proper  "Civil Officers" with instructions to take immediate action which was (in all cases heard from) promptly complied with.

6th  Applications for revocation of apprenticeship
 
Four (4) of these applications have been made at this office by Freedmen. The same were referred to the [[?]] Judges of Probate, with instructions to take immediate action per General Orders No 3. Hd Qrs Dist of Ala series of 1867 

7th Issue of Rations

Supplies of Meal and Meat has been issued to Five hundred and five (505) White and Nine hundred and Ninety Six (996) Colored Persons during the month. 

8th Soup Kitchen 

Through this manner; "Relief" is being disbursed daily to One hundred and Ninety one persons (191); one hundred and sixteen (116) whites
